Science and Technology Agency of Sidama National Regional Government

Innovative technology has a huge impact on a country’s development. As a result, we must put a lot of effort into technologically driven innovation. To guarantee success for all, we have begun identifying stakeholders. As a result, attempts have been undertaken to develop a workforce that has demonstrated the ability to locate, provide, replicate, and modify technology in accordance with industry demands.

Our institution was organized by the Proclamation No. 17/2014 which was amended to establish the executive bodies of the Sidama National Regional Government, and to determine the powers and duties.

The Science and Technology Agency has been given the authority and responsibility to identify the science and technology needs of the region, coordinate and discuss with the relevant actors to facilitate the fulfillment of the identified needs, and establish a technology park in the region.
